Dolphins

I sit and gaze into the sea,

wishing for peace and tranquility,

Darkness and silence wrapped around me.

From the waves i hear them call,

I listen to their beautiful song,

I watch them play,

My angels of the sea.

I long for their freespirits,

I long for their joy,

I call for their healing,

Im surrounded by a love so pure,

My soul at peace,

I feel sadness no more.

A  big hug thank you to Donna DeNomme for sharing her beautiful words......

 Sister Soul

Sister Soul,

 We used to know

How to mend each other’s broken bones

           With sturdy branches

And pots of bubbling herbs and berries.

We used to know

How to mend each other’s hearts

           With understanding words

And strong arms wrapped in gentle embrace

We even used to know

How to mend an empty soul-

Gathered within the dwelling of our own wombs,

             We were reborn...

Sitting knee to knee,

We share songs of old,

Raising prayers in sweet harmony,

In the comfort of our sisterhood,

             We overflow with sacred ceremony.

Sister Soul,

 We used to know...

 Together – let’s remember!

Rowan and Red Thread

deep soul embracing poem by Rose Flint

If I think back into my emergence

From my mothers womb I feel the miracle

In the centre of my body as if I held within me

A chalice filled with fire. My daughter flamed out

On the red life thread, as I had done

As my mother did, and beyond her all the mothers

In the clan – some clear and close others gone into

the mists- reaching back into the land,

passing on this fine red cord that binds us

turns us inside out

And what we make between us down these years

Of generations, passing on gifts – strengthn

Red hair or black , love of cats, second sight

A need for making art or policy or healing –

Is a chain, each link as intricate as celtic knotwork

Or the stepping reel of a circle dance that turns

The wheel of inner space, the centre where we hold.

Red cord of life: mother, daughter, mother

Red thread wound between rings of stone

The wells and hillsides of the birthing land

Our bloddline winding back and going on

Beyond distance, beyond the patterned dance

We name our lives within this time, this space

This tiny moment of the world’s destiny

Mother daughter rmother- red thread

Strong as mountains, deep as earth’s bright heart
